Grasso I - Line Chillers

For all applications that demand the highest efficiency Grasso have specifically designed the Grasso I - Line ammonia chiller series with Grasso screws as well as Grasso reciprocating compressors. Flooded operation with ammonia guarantees smallest temperature differences in gravity circuit operated plate heat exchangers in combination with various kinds of condensers. The unique modular principle gives Grasso the ability to realize many and diverse customers' requests especially for industrial cooling processes.

The Grasso I - Line

with a capacity range from 100 to 6000 kW (28 to 1710 Tons), is divided into the following 3 series:

• FX P series with a single screw compressor and flooded evaporation with plate heat exchangers
• FX Pduo series with two parallel screw compressors and flooded evaporation with plate heat exchangers
• FX GC & FX GCduo series with one or two reciprocating compressors and flooded evaporation with fully hermetic shell & plate heat exchangers.

Grasso AC - Line Chillers

As an alternative to the industrial series Grasso can offer the Grasso AC - Line of ammonia chillers especially for applications with reduced operating hours per year. These chillers combine the outstanding volumetric refrigeration capacity of ammonia as the refrigerant with the advantages of direct expansion systems. In this way, Grasso is able to offer reliable and energy efficient DX systems with ammonia especially for air conditioning applications.

The Grasso AC - Line

with a capacity range from 100 to 1600 kW (28 to 455 Tons), is divided into the following 5 series:

• DX R series with a single screw compressor and dry evaporation with shell & tube heat exchangers
• DX LR compact with a single screw compressor and dry evaporation with a shell & tube heat exchanger complete with an air cooled condenser for outdoor installation
• Ingenium series with one semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor and shell &tube heat exchangers
• Ingenium compact with one semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor , shell &tube evaporator and with an air cooled condenser for outdoor installation
• DX FKA single series with one semi-hermetic reciprocating compressor and dry evaporation in single circuit and shell & tube heat exchangers.
• DX FKA dual series with 2 or 4 semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors in dual circuit shell & tube exchangers
